With over 30 years of experience, Steven is a highly skilled senior consultant and estimator, renowned for his multi-disciplinary expertise in the Energy and Mining sectors. He has excelled in managerial and leadership roles, managing teams and assisting in the development of operational and maintenance strategies for projects across Australia, China, New Zealand, and the UK.
Steven’s proficiency shines through in delivering Conceptual, Order of Magnitude, Concept Select, and FEED level estimates, with a knack for high-level reviews, due-diligence, and forensic analysis. His extensive knowledge spans all disciplines and encompasses the meticulous breakdown of indirect costs to provide comprehensive CAPEX, OPEX, and DECEX estimates.
He is a strategic thinker, known for his innovative problem-solving, and has a keen analytical and perceptive mindset. As a strong coach and mentor, he is well-organized, bringing clarity to complex projects. His notable sector experience includes Energy, Mining and Chemicals, and Infrastructure and Industry.
A member of the Australian Cost Engineering Society (ACES) and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International. Steven is proficient in a range of software tools and systems, such as MS Excel, MS Project, SAP R4 (PMP), Projsys (EPMS), Primavera, SBC-Lavalin PM+ and MMES estimating systems.
He has worked on notable landmark projects such as the KNP-Ardea Resources Ltd Nickel HPAL-MHP Processing Facility, Prelude FLNG (SHELL), BHP Nickel West, Karratha Life Extension (Woodside), Thevenard Island decommissioning (Chevron), Ichthys LNG (INPEX) and the Goro Water Treatment Plant for VALE New Caledonia. Throughout his career, Steven has consistently demonstrated his exceptional estimating and management capabilities, making him a valued asset in the field.
